Chuanyuan Song (宋钏源) is a Shanghai based interdisciplinary visual artist who creates paintings, installations, and illustrations inspired by traditional Chinese culture and interior design. She received her MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and her BFA from Shanghai Institute Of Technology in China.

Drawing from her childhood interest in Chinese paintings and her family lineage, Song uses cultural symbols to represent herself and her history. Her work blends traditional Chinese art styles with contemporary techniques learned from her studies in Hamburg, Germany and in Los Angeles, California in the United States. Song uses materials like fabric, ink, and resin to create rainbow colors that help place viewers in a dreamlike world.
